Banks Wary of Lending to Miners Due to Risks and Volatility
Traditional banks are hesitant to lend to miners. In the last 6 months, loan volumes for this sector dropped by 20%. The culprit is high market volatility and repayment risks. Over 30% of banks tightened conditions, raising rates by 2–3%.
As a result, some miners turn to DeFi loans or crowdfunding. In a year, such alternatives grew by 15%. More than 8 mining firms already adopted new financing schemes.
Experts say bank caution is temporary. As markets stabilize and clear regulations emerge, lenders may regain interest. For now, miners must seek flexible solutions.
