Arkham detects Tesla and SpaceX addresses holding 20,000 BTC

Analytics platform Arkham recently announced the potential discovery of addresses allegedly tied to Tesla and SpaceX, collectively holding about 20,000 bitcoins. At current prices, that figure is approaching $1.7 bln. Arkham experts highlight that most of the transferred coins have remained untouched for months, indicating a long-term holding strategy.

Tesla publicly began investing in bitcoin in 2021, while SpaceX later confirmed that it also acquired cryptocurrency for its reserves. The combined scale of these assets could reflect Elon Musk’s substantial trust in bitcoin as a potentially secure investment. However, there has been no official disclosure regarding the exact amount or final purpose of these reserves.

The crypto community is closely monitoring subsequent transactions and the behavior of these addresses to assess how such large holdings might impact the market. It is believed that if SpaceX and Tesla continue accumulating, overall institutional dominance in bitcoin could increase.
