Applied Digital in Talks for 400 MW Deal with Hyperscaler

Applied Digital is in discussions to sign a 400 MW contract with a hyperscaler. If finalized, this deal could mirror the massive partnership between Core Scientific and CoreWeave.

The company is actively building two high-performance computing (HPC) data centers: a 7.5 MW facility in Jamestown, North Dakota, nearing completion, and a 100 MW facility in Ellendale, North Dakota. Since May 2023, Applied Digital has focused on providing cloud services to AI and machine learning developers.

Although as of their Q2 2024 report the company has not yet generated revenue from AI/HPC initiatives, the potential 400 MW deal could significantly impact Applied Digital’s future financial performance.
