HIVE Digital Orders 13,480 Bitmain Antminer S21+ Hydro Miners for $60.2 Million

HIVE Digital announced the purchase of 13,480 Bitmain Antminer S21+ Hydro miners with a total capacity of 4.3 EH/s for $60.2 million. This acquisition will enable the company to secure 2% of the global Bitcoin network, significantly increasing its market share in mining.

HIVE Digital also secured an option to purchase an additional 4.3 EH/s of miners, potentially expanding its fleet to 8.6 EH/s. The company plans to develop a 100 MW facility in Paraguay to house the new equipment.

The investment in new miners is expected to pay off in approximately 10 months. HIVE aims to reach a hash rate of 15 EH/s by the summer of 2025, strengthening its position in the industry.
