Illegal Mining Farms in Kazakhstan Earned 440 Million Tenge in 2024

In 2024, the total criminal income from illegal mining farms in Kazakhstan reached nearly 440 million tenge. During investigations, assets worth over 1.1 billion tenge and digital assets amounting to more than 30 million tenge were seized.

The Financial Monitoring Agency identified 11 cases of organizing illegal mining operations since the beginning of the year. Authorities are actively combating illegal activities that threaten the country’s economic security and energy system stability.

Analysts note that increased control and strict enforcement measures are necessary to protect the interests of the state and legitimate market participants.
