Childress (IREN): 350MW Capacity and 3.5x Mining Growth
As part of the Childress project, IREN has confirmed reaching 350 MW of installed capacity, boosting Bitcoin output by a factor of 3.5. Company spokespeople say this new infrastructure lays the groundwork for upcoming expansions en route to 50 EH/s overall.
Since early this year, Childress has undergone multiple upgrades, from cooling setups to high-voltage systems. Backed by $700 mln in bonds and private funding, the firm accelerated new module rollouts.
Management reports monthly production now exceeds 800 BTC, maintaining energy efficiency around 15 J/T. Observers predict that once the next phase adds another 400MW, Childress may rank among the largest data centers in the area.
