Unique Fundraiser: Miners Gather 3.146 BTC by Solo-BLOCK Collaboration
A group of enthusiasts held an extraordinary event, pooling hundreds of participants’ hash power to mine one full block, yielding 3.146 BTC. The initiative was conducted to benefit the 256 Foundation, a nonprofit fostering accessible mining solutions.
Reports show a peak hash rate of around 1.12 EH/s, with about 350 contributors directing their computing power to a single pool. As a result, over $300 тыс in Bitcoin was raised from the block reward.
Organizers stated that their primary goal is to fund open-source projects and develop low-cost cryptocurrency mining for everyone. Proceeds will support R&D efforts and educational programs targeting global enthusiasts.
