205 MW Vega: Hut 8 Targets 24 EH/s by Mid-2025

Hut 8 reports that its new Vega project, running at 205 MW, is slated to launch in Q2 2025. The company aims to reach a total hashpower of 24 EH/s upon full infrastructure deployment. Currently at approximately 9.8 EH/s, Hut 8 stands to boost capacity by more than 2.4 times.

The estimated investment for Vega exceeds $120 mln, covering state-of-the-art ASIC miners and efficient cooling setups. Hut 8 has locked in stable electricity rates for 36 months through contracts with local power suppliers, aiming for an energy usage rate as low as 30 J/TH.

Projections suggest the new facility could yield an additional 7–8 BTC daily. Part of the server space will not only support mining but also host cloud services, potentially generating up to 340 mln rubles in annual IT service revenue.
