Cipher’s Portfolio Reaches 2.6 GW After Texas Expansion

Cipher Mining has announced that with the addition of the Stingray site, their portfolio and pipeline have increased to a combined 2.6 gigawatts of capacity across 11 locations. This significant expansion solidifies Cipher Mining’s position as a leading player in the bitcoin mining industry.

Infrastructure expansion will enable the company to boost productivity and capitalize on the expected increase in mining difficulty. The Stingray facility in West Texas will add 100 megawatts of capacity and is scheduled to commence operations in the first half of 2026.
