Company expands its record-breaking Bitcoin portfolio
Strategy has once again reinforced its position as the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder. On May 25, the company announced the acquisition of 4,020 BTC for approximately $427 million.
This brings Strategy’s total holdings to 580,250 BTC. The latest batch was acquired at an average price of $106,237 per coin. Funding came from three separate at-the-market (ATM) equity offerings.
Funding details: $427M raised via equity sales
To finance the purchase, the firm:
- Sold 847,000 shares of MSTR common stock for $348.7 million
- Issued 678,970 STRK preferred shares for $67.9 million
- Sold 104,423 STRF preferred shares for $10.4 million
These equity programs are part of Strategy’s long-term accumulation strategy. The total capacity of these offerings approaches $45 billion.
Strategy’s total Bitcoin investment now exceeds $40B
Following the latest acquisition, the company’s total investment in Bitcoin now stands at $40.61 billion. The average purchase price across all acquisitions is $69,979 per BTC. Strategy continues to dominate the institutional Bitcoin landscape.
