Revolve Labs Withdraws Mining Facility Proposal in Minnesota After Public Opposition

Revolve Labs has withdrawn its plan to build a cryptocurrency mining facility near the city of Windom, Minnesota, after facing strong public opposition. The project was expected to contribute $35,000 monthly to the local economy, but residents expressed concerns over noise pollution and environmental impact.

At a public hearing in late August, about 100 Windom residents spoke against the construction. The primary concerns were excessive noise from cooling fans and potential decrease in property values in the area. Residents also pointed to the company’s previous operation in Glencoe, where a mining facility prompted complaints about noise levels.

As a result, Revolve Labs decided to withdraw its application for construction. A company representative stated that they are listening to the community and will seek other opportunities for development.
