Next-Level Crypto Mining: Bitmain Reveals Antminer S21 Series at Hong Kong World Digital Mining Summit 2023 

Bitmain, the global leader in Bitcoin mining hardware, has unveiled its latest powerhouse, the Antminer S21. Announced at the 2023 World Digital Mining Summit in Hong Kong, the S21 series includes both air-cooled and hydro-cooled models. The announcement marks Bitmain‘s first new series since their Antminer S19XP reveal in Dubai in November 2021.

First off, the Antminer S21’s specs are nothing short of extraordinary. The air-cooled model boasts a hashrate of 200 TH/s, a leap from the previous leader, the Antminer S19j XP, with its hashrate of 151 TH/s. On the other hand, the hydro-cooled model Antminer S21 Hydro goes even further, reaching a stunning 335 TH/s hashrate. Consequently, Bitmain asserts it offers the highest hashrate of any Bitcoin mining ASIC on the market.

But it’s not just about speed; it’s also about efficiency. The S21 air-cooled model operates at 17.5 J/TH, while the hydro-cooled variant stands at 16 J/TH. This makes the S21 the first Bitcoin ASIC miner to break the 20 J/TH barrier. For comparison, the previous champ in air-cooled efficiency was the Antminer S19 XP at 21.5 J/TH.

With performance like this, the cost becomes a hot topic. The Antminer S21 is available at a promotional launch price of $14 per TH for a bulk order of 1.2 EH/s, roughly translating to $2,800 per rig. This special pricing is available until October 7th. Although this is a promotional offer, the pricing is likely to increase for future orders. Therefore, early adoption might offer a substantial financial advantage.

As of now, Bitmain is accepting pre-orders exclusively for bulk buyers. However, secondary sellers are stepping in to offer smaller quantities.
