Mine Blocks, Earn Bitcoin: Minecraft Server Satlantis Turns Gaming into Cryptocurrency Mining

Minecraft, the globally popular sandbox game, has added a twist—players can now mine Bitcoin while building blocks. A third-party server named Satlantis is behind this innovative feature, according to thecoinrepublic.

By joining Satlantis, players earn Satoshis, the smallest unit of Bitcoin, every 10 minutes. To start, players need a virtual ASIC miner, fueled by emeralds. With this miner, gamers can increase their hash rate, affecting their chances of earning Satoshis.

According to Zebedee, the startup that created the technology, more than 1 million Satoshis, equivalent to about $300, are distributed weekly. Therefore, players aren’t just wasting time; they’re part of a real-world financial ecosystem.

There’s also a tier system for the ASIC miners. The lowest tier adds 10 to the hash rate, but higher tiers can produce up to 40. To further increase earnings, players can join clans. By doing so, they pool their hash rates and share earnings, dependent on individual contributions.

Calculating the chances of winning is straightforward. Divide your hash rate by the global rate, multiply by 100, and voila—your odds of a Satoshi windfall. Additionally, there’s a marketplace for trading virtual items for Satoshis, making the earning dynamics even more exciting.

However, earning Bitcoin is not entirely free. Players need an ASIC miner, obtainable through either a battle pass or the marketplace. For the battle pass route, two tiers exist. A free tier requires reaching level 51 for an “Elliptic Key,” needed to get the miner. The premium tier costs $40 and significantly reduces the required level to 10.

Emeralds, the in-game fuel for the ASIC miners, are also uniquely obtained. Unlike traditional Minecraft, emeralds are acquired through trading ores and sugar in the lobby.

In summary, Satlantis offers Minecraft enthusiasts a thrilling way to engage with the game while also diving into cryptocurrency. The server turns virtual mining into real-world value, shaking up how we perceive online gaming and its financial potential.
