MARA Mining Revenue Hits $752M Record Amid BTC Surge

Bitcoin miner MARA has achieved record revenue of $752M as BTC hit $112K. Its holdings now exceed $5.28 billion, making it the second-largest corporate Bitcoin holder.

Record Mining Revenue Driven by BTC Price Rally

MARA Holdings, formerly known as Marathon Digital, has posted its highest-ever annualized Bitcoin mining revenue. On May 27, CryptoQuant reported that the firm earned over $752 million annually. This came just five days after Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $112,000.

The recent BTC price surge was partially triggered by rising bond yields in Japan, creating turbulence in traditional markets. Although MARA’s Q1 earnings missed Wall Street expectations, the real-time blockchain data reflected a different picture.

MARA’s BTC Holdings Cross $5 Billion

Despite a 19% year-over-year drop in production due to the April 2024 halving, MARA continues to grow its reserves. As of May 27, the company holds 48,237 BTC worth $5.28 billion, according to Bitbo.

This places MARA as the second-largest corporate Bitcoin holder, following Strategy’s $63 billion stash. Daily miner revenues remain at $50 million—still below the historical peak of $80 million. Experts believe there is room for growth.

MARA began treating Bitcoin as a strategic treasury asset in July 2024, acquiring $124 million worth of BTC at that time.
