Ionic Digital Expands Texas Facility to 140 Megawatts

Ionic Digital announced the successful energization of Building 2 at its Ward County facility in Texas, increasing the total capacity to 140 megawatts. The new building houses 15,552 Bitcoin miners and is part of the company’s plan to establish one of the largest mining operations in the state.

Two more buildings are under construction and will boost the site’s capacity to 215 megawatts upon completion. This move strengthens Ionic Digital’s market position and contributes to the increase of the Bitcoin network’s hashrate.

The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to enhance operational efficiency and scalability, which is crucial in light of the upcoming reduction in block rewards after the halving.
