CleanSpark Acquires Mining Facility Near US Air Base After Chinese Company Sells

CleanSpark announced the acquisition of the MineOne facility, located near the F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Chinese company was forced to sell this facility after the US administration deemed it a national security threat.

In May 2024, US President Joe Biden issued an order requiring the immediate shutdown and sale of mining facilities owned by Chinese companies located near US strategic sites. MineOne was just one mile away from the strategic airbase housing Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles.

CleanSpark plans to invest in the facility, create new jobs, and expand its operations in Wyoming. Company representatives noted that this strengthens CleanSpark’s position as one of the leading Bitcoin miners in the US.
