Bitmain Boosts U.S. Bitcoin Mining Capabilities with Massive Hardware Import

Bitmain, a leading manufacturer of mining hardware, has significantly ramped up its operations in the United States. According to a tweet by TheMinerMag, the company imported approximately 19 EH/s of Antminer S19XP mining machines into the U.S. in the third quarter of 2023. An additional 32 EH/s was shipped during the first three quarters combined.
This massive influx of Bitmain‘s high-performance mining rigs comes just before the notable rise in Bitcoin’s overall hashrate in October. As a result, Bitmain’s import correlates strongly with the soaring hashrate, suggesting the company’s influence in the American crypto mining landscape.
So why does this matter? For starters, a higher hashrate means greater mining capabilities. Moreover, the significant import showcases the growing interest and investment in the U.S. mining sector, providing a competitive edge against other nations in the global crypto mining race.
