Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Hits Record High of 127.62 T
On July 26, Bitcoin mining difficulty reached a record 127.62 T. Network hashrate exceeded 1 ZH/s, while block intervals dropped to 9 minutes. Public companies continue to expand their influence.
Hashrate Surpasses 1 ZH/s as Difficulty Reaches New Peak
Bitcoin’s latest difficulty adjustment took place on July 26, increasing by just 1.07%. However, this minor shift pushed the difficulty to a historic high of 127.62 T. At the same time, the network hashrate crossed the 1 ZH/s mark, while block intervals dropped to nearly 9 minutes.
According to Glassnode, the seven-day moving average of Bitcoin’s computing power stands at 932.2 EH/s. This is still below the May 31 peak of 943.4 EH/s.
Public Miners Expand, Hashprice Declines Slightly
BitcoinMiningStock data shows that public mining firms now account for 37.5% of global hashrate. U.S.-listed MARA, CleanSpark, IREN, and Cango have each surpassed 50 EH/s. Riot Platforms and BitFuFu are closing in on that level.
Following the difficulty adjustment, hashprice dropped from $59.1 to $58.3 per PH/s per day. However, it quickly rebounded to around $58.7, signaling ongoing stability in mining profitability.
