Bit Digital CEO Dubs Bitcoin as the Digital Gold of the Future

Sam Tabar, the chief executive of Bit Digital, a sustainability-driven Bitcoin mining company, confidently places Bitcoin above traditional gold. In his recent interaction with Rob Nelson of Roundtable, Tabar emphasized Bitcoin’s vast potential in the modern, digitized world, according to thestreet.
Esteemed for his tenure at financial giants like Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Fluidity, Tabar holds an expansive view on Bitcoin’s prospects, seeing a whopping $12 trillion value outlook. He went on record, comparing Bitcoin’s worth to one of the most valuable assets in history—gold.
Rob Nelson, addressing the Bit Digital’s impressive $200 million market capitalization, highlighted the general public’s misconceptions about Bitcoin mining. Contrary to popular belief, Bitcoin mining, unlike its traditional counterpart, isn’t about physical labor or digging.
Explaining the intricacies, Tabar elucidated, “Mining is a term that was mentioned in Satoshi’s white paper—it’s basically a data processing center.” He further conveyed how, in the vast expanse of the digital domain, Bitcoin miners validate transactions, create new blocks on the blockchain, and receive bitcoins as their reward.
With such insights, the world inches closer to understanding the digital marvel that Bitcoin is, as it continues to challenge and potentially eclipse the value of historic assets like gold.
