Arkham Uncovers Strategy’s Secret Bitcoin Holdings Worth $7.6B

Arkham Intelligence says it has identified 70,816 BTC held by Strategy, linking the firm to wallets worth over $7.6 billion. Strategy’s Michael Saylor previously warned against publishing addresses.

Blockchain firm links wallets to Strategy

Arkham Intelligence claims it has uncovered previously unknown Bitcoin wallets belonging to Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy). In total, the firm said it has identified 70,816 BTC tied to the company, worth approximately $7.6 billion.

According to Arkham, this brings the total known holdings of Strategy to $54.5 billion. The company says this accounts for 87.5% of Strategy’s Bitcoin stash.

In a post referencing Michael Saylor’s past comments, Arkham wrote: “Saylor said he’d never reveal addresses. So we did.” Neither Strategy nor Arkham have commented publicly so far.

Saylor warns against public wallet disclosure

The claims come after Strategy chairman Michael Saylor reiterated the risks of publishing wallet addresses. Speaking at the Bitcoin 2025 conference, Saylor said it opens the door to long-term security threats.

He explained that public addresses allow for constant transaction monitoring. Over time, this could expose companies to risks that might otherwise remain hidden.

Saylor even suggested asking AI to assess the issue. He claimed AI could generate “50 pages” of potential vulnerabilities tied to disclosing wallet addresses.

Arkham’s accuracy has faced scrutiny before

Although blockchain data is transparent, wallet attribution is not always accurate. Arkham has previously been accused of misidentifying addresses.

During the collapse of the Mantra token, CEO John Mullin denied insider selling. He claimed Arkham mislabelled wallet addresses as belonging to insiders.
