Argentina: Tax Authorities Bust Crypto Mining Hardware Smuggling Ring

Argentinian tax and customs authorities conducted a major operation against a crypto mining hardware smuggling ring. Hundreds of high-performance graphics cards and components were seized, along with $31,000 and $19,000 in cash.

The operation took place in the cities of Mar del Plata and Bahía Blanca, where four individuals were arrested, accused of smuggling and money laundering. Seized documents indicate corporate involvement in illegal activities.

Authorities estimate the total value of confiscated goods exceeds $624,000. This operation underscores the government’s efforts to combat illegal mining and tax evasion.
